Customer Support Specialist – Accounting Technology

About the role

You will join Yonda’s international support team, collaborating with colleagues in South Africa, the United Kingdom and other regions. As the first line of contact, you will guide clients through indirect‑tax processes, ensuring accurate and timely assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to client emails with clear, friendly guidance on registrations, filings, deadlines, portal access and account updates.
• Escalate confused or frustrated customers to Customer Success and delegate operational tasks to admin agents.
• Learn and apply Yonda’s indirect‑tax workflows, including registrations, filings, payments and communication with tax offices.
• Contact tax authorities to request updates, resolve access issues and follow up on filings on behalf of clients.
• Investigate portal login problems, mismatched account information, missing filings and other tax‑related issues, coordinating with internal teams across regions.

Required profile

• Strong written and spoken English, calm and customer‑centric communication.
• 2‑3 years of experience in customer support or a client‑facing role, preferably with global clients.
• Degree in Accounting, Law or a related field (preferred).
• Ability to quickly learn detailed processes and follow them with high accuracy.
• Comfort speaking with government authorities and handling multiple tasks in an organised way.
• Problem‑solving mindset with willingness to dig into details.
