Customer Services Graduate - Durban

About the role

Natal Portland Cement (NPC), part of the Huaxin Cement Co., Ltd. Group, is looking for a Customer Services Graduate for its Commercial Department in Durban. The graduate reports directly to the Customer Services Supervisor and supports call centre operations, order management and customer relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Call centre operations: handle incoming customer calls and enquiries professionally and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
• Order management: capture customer orders and standing orders accurately, confirm delivery arrangements and keep order information up to date.
• Customer relationship management: maintain positive relationships, help resolve complaints and support customer satisfaction initiatives.
• Customer information management: keep accurate customer records, including account details, delivery information and pricing data.
• Administration: data capturing, filing, report preparation, quotation assistance and processing of new customer account applications.
• Liaise with other departments on customer, order and delivery queries to support efficient service delivery.

Required profile

• Matric.
• Diploma or degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Marketing, Customer Service or a related field.
• Experience in customer service, call centre operations or administration is advantageous.
• Core competencies: communication, customer service orientation, decision making, teamwork, attention to detail, organisational skills, adaptability and results orientation.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
