Customer Service Representative – Billing & Technical Support

About the role

Join EXL’s fast‑paced contact centre in Cape Town as a Customer Service Representative. You will be the first point of contact for policyholders, handling billing transactions, answering inquiries and providing technical assistance on client systems.

Key responsibilities

• Receive inbound calls from policyholders.
• Process telephone payments and account adjustments.
• Interpret and verify billing transactions accurately.
• Respond to simple and complex billing inquiries.
• Provide technical support for client‑specific systems.
• Follow up on outstanding items promptly.
• Deliver service experiences that meet performance metrics and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Up to 1 year of experience in a customer‑service environment.
• Post‑high‑school education preferred.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Patience, positive attitude, and teamwork orientation.
• Willingness to complete the full training program.
