Customer Service Clerk – Production Planning

About the role

Epol is seeking a Customer Service Clerk to align production planning with customer orders and ensure smooth service delivery. The role involves direct interaction with walk‑in customers, coordination with dispatchers and supervisors, and handling delivery processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide courteous, prompt service to walk‑in customers and understand their requirements.
• Manage the delivery process, communicating with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors to ensure full receipt of products.
• Oversee the uplift process, ensuring stock retrieval and accurate documentation.
• Address customer complaints within your scope and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain positive customer relationships by adhering to company values and service standards.
• Communicate delivery concerns to customers, transporters, and dispatch clerks in a timely manner.
• Process delivery notes and ensure all customer orders are placed and processed promptly.
• Escalate slow deliveries or off‑loading issues to supervisors for assistance.
• Support safety, health, environment, risk, feed safety and quality compliance on shift.

Required profile

• Grade 12 education; preferably a certificate in Supply Chain Management.
• 3–4 years experience in a customer‑service oriented environment.
• High level of honesty, integrity and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication, numeric reasoning and troubleshooting abilities.
