Customer Engagement Specialist – French Speaking Advisors

About the role

We are partnering with a leading digital services platform to build a new team of Customer Engagement Specialists. In this relationship‑led role you will proactively engage French‑speaking customers throughout their journey, from onboarding to retention, ensuring compliance and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively contact applicants and newly onboarded customers to guide them through onboarding, documentation and first platform use.
• Reach out to customers identified as at risk of churn, build rapport, understand concerns and use influencing techniques to retain them.
• Support active customers with compliance, documentation recertification and behavioural policy notifications, providing clear guidance and escalation when needed.
• Deliver professional, solution‑focused conversations, maintain accurate records and follow quality and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade 12 / Matric qualification with a clear criminal record and ability to meet credit‑vetting requirements.
• Fluency in French and bilingual proficiency in English.
• Experience in customer retention, engagement or success, preferably handling outbound conversations aimed at influencing behaviour.
• Strong verbal communication, active listening and relationship‑building skills with resilience in challenging interactions.
