Customer Assistant – Clothing (Nonesi Mall, Queenstown)

About the role

Woolworths is looking for a Customer Assistant to work on the clothing sales floor at Nonesi Mall in Queenstown. You will be the first point of contact for shoppers, handling transactions, promoting loyalty programmes and delivering a friendly, efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly at all till points and create a positive shopping experience.
• Accurately process till transactions, including cash, card and other payment methods.
• Promote Woolworths loyalty programmes, utility bill payments and airtime sales.
• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised till area in line with shop‑keeping standards.
• Check pricing accuracy by comparing scanned items with shelf tickets and resolve discrepancies.
• Follow loss‑prevention procedures to minimise shrinkage and report any irregularities.
• Use basic product knowledge to assist customers and support promotional events.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Grade 12 or equivalent NQF qualification.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with friendly communication.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage time effectively during shifts.
• Reliable, honest and committed to reducing shrinkage.
• Flexible availability for varied shift patterns.
