Customer Advisor – Call Centre (Cape Town)

About the role

As a Customer Advisor you will join Capita South Africa’s 24/7 call centre supporting Hive customers in the UK. You will handle inbound queries via phone, webchat and email, delivering solutions that meet each customer’s unique needs while adhering to data‑protection standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide webchat, sales and technical troubleshooting assistance to customers.
• Identify vulnerable customers and adapt the approach to offer additional support.
• Handle escalated queries with empathy, accuracy and integrity.
• Log interactions correctly and meet daily service‑delivery targets.
• Work across a wide range of telephony platforms and product knowledge to resolve issues.
• Maintain flexibility to work varied shift patterns, including weekends and holidays.

Required profile

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• 6‑12 months experience in a customer service call centre.
• High proficiency in written and verbal English.
• Strong time‑management, active listening and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to handle complex issues and adapt to different customer personalities.
