Creditors Clerk (Limited Duration Contract)

About the role

The Creditors Clerk will support the finance team by managing supplier invoices, processing payments and reconciling creditor accounts. This limited‑duration contract provides maternity relief for the existing accountant and requires accurate, deadline‑driven work in a fast‑paced logistics environment. The role reports to the Accountant and works Monday to Friday, 07:30‑16:00.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and process supplier invoices.
• Prepare payment runs for authorisation.
• Reconcile creditor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle queries and maintain organised financial records.
• Assist with month‑end close procedures.

Required profile

• Matric certificate; diploma or degree in finance, accounting or related field is advantageous.
• 2‑3 years experience in creditors or accounts payable, preferably in logistics or freight.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Required skills

• MS Excel, including spreadsheet manipulation and financial formulas.
