Credit Controller

About the role

The finance team of a well‑established healthcare organisation is looking for an experienced Credit Controller. You will play a key part in safeguarding cash flow by overseeing debtor collections and maintaining strong relationships with medical aids and patients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day debtor collections and follow‑up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with medical aid schemes, funders and patients.
• Ensure efficient cash flow through effective credit control processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Prepare regular reports on credit performance and ageing analysis.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 4; tertiary qualification in Administration or Finance is advantageous.
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Debtors Clerk or Credit Controller in a private hospital environment.
• Strong working knowledge of medical aids, funders and COID processes.
• Excellent communication, organisational and customer‑service abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• ProClin software proficiency.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
