Cost Accountant – Stellenbosch

About the role

We are looking for a Cost Accountant to join our finance team in Stellenbosch. The role supports a global wine production and distribution group, ensuring accurate manufacturing costs, pricing and margin analysis across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Review stock counts across production facilities, analyse variances and report inventory discrepancies.
• Update ERP production orders to maintain accurate stock items, costing and quantity records.
• Compile and maintain a Costing Masterfile for supplier price comparison and procurement support.
• Analyse finished‑stock pricing and cost of goods sold to validate price build‑ups, margin calculations and budget alignment.
• Create purchase orders, match invoices for bulk deliveries and process Fairtrade documentation and quarterly reporting data.
• Take ownership of month‑end close‑up to trial balance across multiple entities.

Required profile

• Completed SAIPA, SAICA or CIMA articles.
• Proven experience with full month‑end close and trial balance across several entities.
• Cost accounting experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Xero or other cloud‑based accounting systems.

What we offer

• CTC of R30,000 – R35,000 per month.
