Conveyancer, Legal Advisor & Company Secretary

About the role

Linked Thoughts Consulting is seeking an experienced Conveyancer, Legal Advisor and Company Secretary to join its Legal department. The role will support the company’s property development projects by managing transfer, bond administration and conveyancing processes, ensuring compliance and delivering a high‑quality service to clients and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Administer bond applications, escalations and loan origination services for home‑loan applicants.
• Maintain accurate filing systems for Offer to Purchase documents, bond acceptance letters and related paperwork.
• Provide regular updates to clients on bond status and advise on alternative financing options when needed.
• Manage clearance certificates, including electrical, water and plumbing compliance.
• Oversee post‑transfer documentation such as title deeds, happy letters and house plans.
• Ensure bond approval processes meet the suspensive conditions of the Offer to Purchase.
• Coordinate conveyancing activities, ensuring correct preparation and signing of deeds of sale and timely payment of deposits and fees.
• Liaise with marketing, bond originators and other internal teams to track application progress.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB).
• Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
• Admitted Conveyancer.
• Minimum five years of experience in a similar legal role.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities.
