About the role
The Bond Secretary will support the management of bond registrations and related documentation for clients in the Cape Town CBD. This urgent, full‑time position requires a detail‑oriented professional with solid experience in bond registration processes and private banking environments.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, file, and maintain bond registration documents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with banks, registrars, and legal advisors to ensure timely processing of bond transactions.
- Monitor compliance deadlines and update internal records.
- Assist senior staff with reporting and audit preparation related to bond portfolios.
- Provide administrative support for the bond team, including correspondence and record keeping.
Required profile
- Matriculation (high school) is essential; a tertiary qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience specifically in bond registrations.
- Experience in private banking (e.g., FNB, RMB) is preferred.
- Recent LLB graduates should not apply.
- Proficient in English; Afrikaans knowledge is a plus.
Required skills
- Knowledge of bond registration procedures and regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with private banking documentation standards.
