Contract Pharmacist – Regulatory & Compliance (Ad Hoc)

About the role

Lasec SA seeks an experienced Contract Pharmacist to provide professional pharmaceutical oversight as the company expands its healthcare product portfolio. Working on an ad‑hoc, hourly basis, the role supports regulatory compliance and ensures all activities meet South African pharmaceutical legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage and release of pharmaceutical products.
• Support regulatory activities for application, maintenance and renewal of licences and approvals.
• Ensure compliance with SA pharmaceutical legislation, Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing, reviewing and implementing quality management systems, policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance on pharmaceutical compliance matters across the business.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits, inspections and regulatory submissions.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities to meet ongoing compliance obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree.
• Current registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).
• Experience in pharmaceutical warehousing, wholesale operations, quality assurance or regulatory affairs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
