Construction Supervisor

About the role

The Construction Supervisor will lead pump installation, relocation and piping construction activities across multiple mining sites. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and in line with mining regulations and engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, commissioning and testing of dewatering, slurry, process and water transfer pumps.
• Coordinate pump relocations as mining operations evolve.
• Oversee construction, modification and maintenance of HDPE, steel, PVC and other piping systems, including welding, fabrication, flanging, pressure testing and commissioning.
• Manage daily site activities, allocate resources, tools and labour, and lead multidisciplinary construction teams.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings and enforce compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Track project milestones, prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports and manage material and equipment availability.
• Liaise with mine management, engineers, contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Pipe Fitting, Boilermaking or related field (preferred).
• Construction Management qualification is advantageous.
• Valid driver’s licence and relevant Mine Health and Safety training certificates.
• Minimum 4 years experience in mining construction, pump systems and piping projects.
• Proven ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams on active mining operations.
