Computer Applications Technology & Information Technology Teacher

About the role

Rustenburg Girls’ High School is seeking a qualified and experienced teacher to deliver Computer Applications Technology and Information Technology lessons to senior learners. This full‑time, permanent position starts in January 2027 and is renewable annually under a WCED contract.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess curriculum-aligned Computer Applications Technology and IT lessons.
• Prepare teaching resources, practical activities and assessments that meet WCED standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to learners to enhance their digital competencies.
• Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of learner progress and attendance.

Required profile

• Relevant teaching qualification and registration with the WCED.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Computer Applications Technology or Information Technology at secondary level.
• Commitment to the principles of Employment Equity and equal opportunity.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage learners in a classroom setting.
