Compliance Coordinator

About the role

The Compliance Coordinator will join the Finance team at Dis‑Chem Pharmacies in Midrand, supporting the effective management of regulatory and compliance obligations across retail operations. The role ensures that compliance requirements are documented, tracked and aligned with internal policies and applicable legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the retail compliance universe and regulatory obligation registers.
• Map regulatory requirements to operational processes and internal controls.
• Update regulatory logs, policy documentation and compliance monitoring outcomes.
• Monitor updates to key regulatory frameworks and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Execute compliance reviews and testing in retail stores, documenting findings and escalating breaches.
• Support preparation of compliance inputs for governance reporting.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent Senior Certificate.
• 1‑3 years experience in compliance, risk management, internal audit, legal support or an administrative role with regulatory exposure.
• Familiarity with compliance or GRC systems is advantageous.
