Community Operations Manager

About the role

Fidelity Services Group is hiring a Community Operations Manager who will own all operational and managerial functions for a defined area. The role focuses on proactive crime prevention, close cooperation with the SAPS, and improving client retention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run a proactive training strategy for reaction and LSS officers, covering patrols, stand-off points, joint operations and visibility drives, and move the mindset from reactive to proactive.
• Build strong working relationships with SAPS sector members, sector commanders, CPF members and station commanders; attend joint operations, crime and CPF meetings and act as a go-to person for solving crime incidents.
• Record and analyse crime, identify trends and plan and lead special operations (FADT and/or joint operations) to reduce crime and grow the client base.
• Conduct quarterly security risk assessments and compile monthly reports on proactive measures and their results.
• Set up WhatsApp groups, acknowledge messages and dispatch, and send a monthly stakeholder report on pro-active measures.
• Keep marketing informed, record operations with photos and reports, and manage client perception from surveys.
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly compliance, KPIs on response times, incident reports, SOPs, budget, overtime, expenses and purchases.
• Handle recruitment, performance appraisals, disciplinary hearings, payroll, PSIRA registration, fleet and FAMS firearms requirements, and logistics of firearms and paperwork.
• Manage incidents including motor vehicle accidents, coach staff, monitor BPSI clocking and drive discipline, and maintain LSS sites.

Required profile

• Matric.
• Valid driver's licence.
• PSIRA registered Grade B.
• Valid firearm competency (handgun for business purposes).
• 3-5 years of management experience in the security industry.
