About the role
Fidelity Services Group is looking for an Assistant Technician for its Alarm & CCTV team in Saldanha. The role assists the Installations Technician with alarm, intercom, CCTV and access control installations, including cabling, drilling and testing. The position is open until 30 October 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the technician with installations of alarm and security equipment
- Help remove old equipment from client premises
- Run new cables, apply glue, drill holes and mount detectors, panels, contacts, lights and other components
- Inform the technician of any shortcomings or limitations of equipment and tools
- Inform the technician of the cabling required for an installation
- Assist with user functions and carry out handovers
- Clean vehicles and premises after an installation
Required profile
- PSIRA registered (Grade C)
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of experience as a Wireman
- Proven ability to work under pressure and attention to detail
Required skills
- Practical electrical and electronic knowledge is advantageous
- Ability to install alarm, intercom, CCTV and access control cabling and to power up and walk-test the system
