Community Development Facilitator

About the role

Our client is seeking a Community Development Facilitator for a mining operation near Rustenburg. The role focuses on community upliftment, stakeholder engagement and managing social investment projects in a demanding mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders such as DMPR, local communities, councillors, chiefs, municipalities and school leadership.
• Drive community upliftment initiatives including local economic development and training programmes.
• Manage Corporate Social Investment (CSI) projects and implement Social Labour Plan (SLP) commitments.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and prepare accurate reports on community development activities.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Development Studies or Political Studies.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in community development facilitation or stakeholder management within a mining environment.
• Valid South African driver’s licence.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office.
