Community Advisor – Alternative Channels (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

As a Community Advisor for Alternative Channels, you will deliver an exceptional customer experience by understanding client needs, recommending tailored financial solutions, and guiding customers to the most appropriate service channels, including eChannels and self‑service options.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Provide a positive, helpful customer experience and address transactional needs.
• Communicate processes and requirements clearly and simply.
• Ensure compliance with policies, rules and processes.
• Educate customers on the correct banking platform for their needs.
• Analyse customer data and recommend tailored solutions.
• Achieve sales results by offering contextual, integrated financial products.
• Uphold ethical standards and take accountability for performance.
• Work shift patterns as required.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Grade 12 / NQF Level 4.
• Preferred: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service or related field recognised by FAIS.
• 1–3 years experience in customer‑facing, service delivery or client support within financial services.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Confidence guiding customers toward digital and self‑service solutions.
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and support portfolio growth.
• High accuracy, discipline and adherence to processes.
• Strong organising, planning and time‑management capability.
• Commitment to delivering consistent, exceptional service.
