About the role
The municipality is seeking a Communications Manager to lead the development and execution of its communication strategy, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to both internal and external audiences.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement the municipality’s communication strategy.
- Manage internal and external communications, including municipal publications.
- Oversee media relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Manage social media platforms and ensure timely dissemination of information.
- Provide communication support to Council and senior management.
- Handle crisis communication and reputation management.
- Respond promptly to communication‑related issues.
Required profile
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
- National Diploma in Public Relations Management or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
- Valid Code EB driving licence.
