Commercial Insurance Sales Representative

About the role

We are seeking a driven Commercial Insurance Sales Representative to join a well‑established financial services environment. You will grow and service a portfolio of commercial insurance clients while working alongside experienced banking and relationship management professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business acquisition and meet commercial insurance sales targets.
• Conduct client needs analyses and recommend suitable commercial insurance solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business clients to ensure retention and portfolio growth.
• Collaborate with internal banking stakeholders to identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Ensure all client engagements comply with FAIS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, sales pipelines, and client documentation.

Required profile

• RE5 qualification (non‑negotiable).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in commercial short‑term insurance sales.
• Previous experience in banking, financial services, or bancassurance.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong understanding of commercial insurance products such as property, liability, business interruption, and asset cover.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of FAIS legislation and Fit & Proper requirements.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
