Collection Controller – Team Leader / Supervisor

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Collection Controller to lead our Credit Control and E‑Billing teams in Pretoria. The role is responsible for driving debt recovery, overseeing invoicing and month‑end processes, and ensuring strong financial controls and cash‑flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise debt recovery and reduce overdue accounts.
• Lead and support the Credit Control and E‑Billing teams.
• Oversee invoicing, statements, credit memos and month‑end closing activities.
• Manage customer ledger reconciliations and account allocations.
• Approve refunds, write‑offs, rebates and account transfers.
• Ensure compliance with client e‑billing requirements and firm policies.
• Produce management, debtor and operational reports.
• Drive process improvements and staff training initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or Credit Management (preferred).
• 3–4 years’ experience in Credit Control, Collections, Debtors or Finance Operations.
• Proven experience with reconciliations, invoicing, ledger management and reporting.
• Previous team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in a legal or professional services environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with e‑billing platforms and month‑end processes.
