About the role

The Secunda Branch is looking for Code 14 drivers to drive a variety of Code 14 vehicles. The driver is responsible for the vehicle and its load, and must follow road traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

Take responsibility for the vehicle and the load
Inspect the vehicle daily and report all faults
Load and unload various materials and equipment
Ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act and the safety of other road users
Follow the Occupational Health and Safety Act, company policies and road regulations

Required profile

Minimum Grade 12 certificate
Valid, unendorsed Code 14 licence with a valid PDP
5 years of Code 14 driving experience
Practical, hands-on approach; experienced with manual gearbox vehicles
Experience reversing a draw-bar trailer required; operating a mounted grab crane is an advantage
Hard-working, self-motivated, with good communication, time management and organisational skills, and excellent state of health
