Clinical Provider - Mental Health Telehealth (Polokwane)

About the role

Intellect is looking for a Clinical Provider to support clients on their journey toward better mental health and personal growth through its telehealth platform. This is a freelance, remote role offering complete flexibility, with business hours set by the provider, and it can complement a current job or private practice. Local candidates are preferred, but professionals from other locations aligned with the mission are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 telehealth and onsite mental health support for Intellect's clients
• Address a range of clinical cases, including depression, anxiety, trauma, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addiction
• Partner with the internal clinical team to improve the platform and client programs

Required profile

• Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
• Minimum of 300 clinical hours completed after obtaining the master's degree
• Proficiency in English, Afrikaans and local language(s)
• Availability for occasional onsite sessions when required
• Preferred: previous experience in EAP services, adult counseling or coaching, and managerial roles

• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, DBT or SFBT
