About the role
The Western Cape Mobility Department is recruiting a cleaner for its Traffic Support Services (reference WCMD 68/2026). The post covers the provision of all cleaning services across various locations in the Western Cape, with irregular hours required.
Key responsibilities
- Provide all cleaning services
- Clean general kitchens
- Clean the restrooms
- Keep and maintain cleaning materials and equipment
Required profile
- Adult Basic Education and Training (ABET)
- CV limited to five pages
- Willingness to work irregular hours
Required skills
- Basic understanding of how to operate vacuum cleaners and other cleaning equipment
- Basic understanding of procedures to maintain cleaning machines such as microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners and refrigerators
- Language, planning and organisation, and communication skills
