Civil Quality Control Supervisor – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

We are looking for a Civil Quality Control Supervisor to join our renewable energy project in the Free State, South Africa. The role involves overseeing quality inspections, managing punch lists and ensuring compliance with project quality standards throughout construction and commissioning.

Key responsibilities

• Report daily progress on quality inspections to the Site Quality Lead.
• Engage with contractors’ supervisors to optimise daily inspections and monitor compliance with the Project Quality Plan.
• Ensure all work complies with ISO 9001:2015 and maintain quality records, registers and calibration certificates.
• Review and implement contractor QC registers, non‑conformance reports, ITP checklists and punch lists.
• Perform site inspections, follow up open punches during commissioning and sign off completed items.
• Participate in Site Acceptance Tests, project meetings and coordinate with HSE Manager on risks.
• Verify that red‑line, single‑line diagrams and as‑built drawings are complete and uploaded.
• Confirm that pre‑commissioning SATs are completed and align with the Operation & Maintenance manual.

Required profile

• National Civil Trade Certificate with at least 5 years site experience.
• Internship or apprenticeship completed at a recognised civil construction institution (e.g., Eskom) and 10 + years experience on large‑scale projects.
• Formal quality qualification such as Six Sigma Green or Black.
• Certified training in quality inspection with documented experience.
