Civil Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

Concor Construction is seeking a qualified Civil Engineer to lead engineering and construction activities on road and earthworks projects in Limpopo. The role involves interpreting drawings, planning and programming site work, and ensuring quality, safety, health, and environmental standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to standard procedures and client‑specific requirements.
• Set and maintain production targets while operating within cost budgets.
• Prepare detailed long‑term project schedules.
• Foster relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage material procurement, trend analysis and forecasts.
• Oversee multiple work activities and ensure quality compliance.
• Lead site teams, allocate resources, and inspire high production levels.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Registration with SACPCMP or ECSA.
• Minimum 8 years experience in civil construction, especially roads and earthworks.
• Valid driver’s licence and South African citizenship.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to read and organise construction plans and specifications.
• Working knowledge of CCS estimating and planning modules.
• Familiarity with the OHS Act and Construction Regulations.
• Understanding of various contract specifications.
