Civil Drafter

About the role

The Civil Drafter will develop and maintain Civil 3D models and associated drawings that support engineering design delivery for site development projects. Working within the Project Delivery Group, you will translate engineering inputs into detailed, buildable models across study and detailed design phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage Civil 3D models for grading, earthworks, access roads, internal road networks, stormwater and drainage systems.
• Prepare layout, detail and drawing packages based on engineering inputs.
• Undertake quantity extraction and support model‑based deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with Civil Engineers and other disciplines to ensure design intent is accurately reflected.
• Participate in model coordination and clash resolution processes.
• Perform quality checks to ensure models and drawings comply with project and company standards.
• Maintain file management within common data environments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years of experience in civil drafting/modelling.
• Strong experience in grading, drainage, roads and site infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience working in multi‑disciplinary project environments, preferably in mining, energy or infrastructure.
