Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Manufacturing, Durban

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance and accounting function of a manufacturing operation in Durban. The CFO will shape financial strategy, drive performance, manage risk and ensure compliance with IFRS while providing strategic direction to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, direct and manage the finance and accounting team.
• Develop and execute financial management and strategic planning initiatives.
• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, IFRS standards and internal controls.
• Provide strategic direction, support decision‑making and liaise with senior executives.
• Manage treasury activities, cash flow and stakeholder relationships.

Required profile

• CA (SA) qualification.
• Minimum 10 years post‑qualification experience in financial management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and proven track record of senior financial leadership.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Syspro) and manufacturing software.
• Experience in product costing, bill of materials and cost analysis.
