Chef Lecturer – Hospitality Teaching Role

About the role

The International Hotel School Gqeberha Campus seeks a passionate Chef Lecturer to inspire and guide aspiring hospitality professionals. You will share industry expertise, mentor students, and contribute to their career development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions in culinary and hospitality subjects.
• Develop, update and assess curriculum and learning materials.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and support to improve pass rates.
• Maintain accurate administrative records and manage related software tools.
• Collaborate with industry bodies and ensure compliance with QCTO and related standards.

Required profile

• NQF Level 7 hospitality qualification (essential).
• Registration with ETDP SETA as an Assessor (beneficial) and scoped by CATHSSETA (beneficial).
• Minimum 5 years of practical industry experience.
• At least 2 years of lecturing or teaching experience.
• Proven track record of student throughput and pass rates.

Required skills

• Proficiency in relevant computer software for academic administration.
• Strong administrative abilities.
• Knowledge of QCTO regulations and curriculum assessment processes.
