About the role
Our client in the Retail/FMCG sector is seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) registered with SAICA to join their team in Harrismith, Free State. The role involves managing financial reporting, tax compliance and supervising accounting staff.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse trial balances, identify errors and raise journal entries.
- Prepare annual financial statements, audit files and ad‑hoc financial reports.
- Supervise and review the work of accounting staff.
- Manage monthly payroll review, SARS returns, COIDA submissions and income tax filings.
- Compile budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow monitoring.
Required profile
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA (SA)) registered with SAICA.
- Strong knowledge of tax regulations, IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, Companies Act and related accounting standards.
- Fluent in English with high attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel (including formulas and pivot tables).
- Pastel Partner accounting software.
