Change Analyst

About the role

SS&C is looking for a detail-oriented Change Analyst to support and facilitate change management across the organization. The role covers analyzing change requests, assessing their impact and ensuring smooth implementation across systems and departments. The position is based in Bellville, South Africa, on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and analyze change requests, checking completeness and protocol compliance.
• Collaborate with IT, business units and project managers to understand the scope and impact of proposed changes.
• Perform impact assessments to identify risks, dependencies and resource needs.
• Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, prepare agendas, document discussions and track action items.
• Maintain and update the change management system with accurate records of change activities.
• Monitor the implementation of approved changes against timelines and quality standards.
• Communicate change statuses, upcoming changes and potential disruptions to stakeholders.
• Recommend improvements to the change management process and tools, and help develop training materials.
• Generate reports on change activity, success rates and compliance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in change management, IT support or project coordination, preferably in financial services or technology.
• Strong understanding of IT service management principles and frameworks (ITIL Foundation certification preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and to assess risk and make informed decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with change management software and tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks.
