CCTV Control Room Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced, professional and highly responsible manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of a busy CCTV Control Room at the Isando Foods site. The role requires strong leadership, excellent surveillance and reporting abilities, and the capacity to handle incidents, risks and escalations promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Manage CCTV Controllers and Supervisors, including attendance, rostering and leave.
• Ensure continuous and effective CCTV monitoring of the site and timely escalation of security, safety and loss‑control risks.
• Conduct CCTV investigations, prepare accurate incident reports and maintain incident registers.
• Develop, maintain and enforce SOPs, work instructions and control‑room procedures.
• Monitor camera faults, blind spots, recording failures and system‑related risks.
• Compile professional Excel reports, dashboards and management summaries, identifying trends and operational vulnerabilities.
• Liaise directly with client site management and attend operational, security and management meetings.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of CCTV footage and ensure the control room remains audit‑ready.

Required profile

• Valid PSIRA Grade A registration.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant CCTV/security control‑room experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Clear criminal record and medically fit.
• Reside near the Isando Foods site; own reliable transport is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in staff management, performance management and disciplinary processes.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel reporting.
• Proficient in CCTV surveillance systems and camera operations.
• Knowledge of recording systems, camera health checks and footage retention.
• Computer literacy with ability to develop and enforce SOPs.
