Category Director – Fabric & Home Care

About the role

We are looking for a Category Director to lead the Fabric & Home Care fragrance category at Givaudan. The role will shape the regional category strategy, drive innovation and ensure seamless collaboration across creative, technical and commercial functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the regional Category Strategy and action plan, allocating resources to meet both proactive and reactive pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with Perfumers, Creative Center Director and Gallery Managers to ensure alignment and high‑quality development.
• Maintain market and consumer insight as a core team strength and integrate findings into product briefs.
• Monitor continuous‑improvement metrics and KPIs together with Project Managers.
• Lead cross‑category initiatives, sharing best themes and allocating resources for trend activities.
• Manage the day‑to‑day performance of the Category Development team, fostering communication across regions.
• Liaise with internal functions such as Science & Technology, IT and Commercial teams to represent regional needs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fragrance or category management at a senior level.
• Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across multicultural teams.
• Track record of leading innovation projects and driving continuous improvement.
