Cash-in-Transit Driver

About the role

The driver will act as the custodian of IZI's vehicle and assets, performing Cash‑in‑Transit (CIT) services on a dedicated schedule while adhering to all company policies, security protocols and road safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct mechanical roadworthiness checks and system inspections before and after each shift, reporting any defects.
• Report accidents, suspicious activities, or vehicle immobilisations immediately to the Control Room and relevant authorities.
• Follow mandatory security procedures, wear protective gear, participate in security drills and obtain authorisation before exiting the vehicle.
• Drive in compliance with the Road Traffic Act and company health‑and‑safety standards.
• Execute scheduled trips using route optimisation, notifying the Control Room of any deviations or delays.
• Maintain operational logistics: ensure radios, scanners and keys are functional, refuel and clean the vehicle for the next shift.

Required profile

• Valid PDP driver’s licence.
• PSIRA Grade C certification.
• Cash‑in‑Transit certification.
• SAPS firearm competency for handgun and related certification documents.
• No credit record, no criminal record, and not registered as a director of any company.
• Willingness to undergo pre‑shooting assessment and OBET training.
