Cash Consultant

About the role

The Cash Consultant is responsible for managing all cash‑related client demand within a branch environment. You will engage walk‑in customers, process cash and card transactions accurately, and ensure a safe, consistent client experience while supporting sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end‑to‑end cash services to walk‑in clients, understanding their needs and completing transactions accurately.
• Manage branch cash assets: handle, control, move, store and balance cash in line with policy, limits and governance.
• Maintain ATM/ANA availability through replenishment, balancing, basic maintenance and first‑line troubleshooting; escalate technical issues as needed.
• Execute risk and compliance duties, adhering to duty‑of‑care requirements, escalating out‑of‑limit transactions and safeguarding client information.
• Support operational reporting and continuous improvement by completing reports, updating MIS charts and applying corrective actions.

Required profile

• NQF 5 FAIS‑recognised qualification (required).
• 1–2 years of branch banking experience in a frontline cash/teller role.
• Proven cash‑handling capability with a strong record of accuracy.
• Experience supporting ATM/ANA operations within strict regulatory requirements.
• Working knowledge of branch governance, audit readiness and confidentiality protocols.
