Carpenter – Assembly C5 Department

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our Assembly C5 Department. Reporting to the Team Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and fitting joinery components in a fast‑paced production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble and fit all joinery components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Operate power tools such as grinders, jigsaws and drills safely and efficiently.
• Take responsibility and accountability for own work output.
• Manage time and attendance, adhering to shift patterns.

Required profile

• Minimum NQF Level 2 (Grade 10); NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) preferred.
• At least 2½ years of relevant carpentry experience.
• Excellent time‑keeping and attendance record.
• Ability to work different shift patterns and in a team environment.
• Strong understanding of quality standards and ability to follow them.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Initiative, leadership by example and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Operation of power tools (grinder, jigsaw, drill, etc.).
• Interpretation of technical drawings.
