About the role

Mediclinic Midstream in Centurion, South Africa is recruiting one permanent Care Worker - Surgical for an on-site position. The role supports nursing unit staff in delivering safe and quality patient care that meets patients' healthcare needs.

Key responsibilities

• Support and assist nursing unit staff in delivering quality patient care within a team approach
• Identify and report risks in line with hospital policies
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by assisting nursing unit staff
• Provide administrative support to nursing unit staff as specified
• Contribute to a learning environment by taking part in continuous personal development
• Ensure required stock is used efficiently and charged accurately

Required profile

• Essential: an appropriate qualification as a Care Worker
• Desired: Grade 12
• Essential: experience in a healthcare environment
• All applicants are considered; preference is given according to the Employment Equity Plan and to internal applicants who meet the minimum requirements

• Reporting and documenting events and tasks
