Car Rental Customer Service Agent – Cape Town

About the role

A car rental company in Cape Town is looking for a professional, customer‑focused Customer Service Agent to manage bookings, vehicle handovers, check‑ins, check‑outs and related administration. The role involves shift work, including weekends and overtime, with flexibility for early mornings or late evenings.

Key responsibilities

• Handle vehicle bookings, enquiries and follow‑ups with customers.
• Conduct professional vehicle handovers and explain features and rental requirements.
• Complete check‑out, check‑in and rental documentation accurately.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, spotless and presented to a high standard.
• Assist with off‑site deliveries and collections when required.
• Support the wider rental team during busy or quiet periods.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 (preferred).
• Valid driver’s licence and own transport.
• Previous customer service experience; experience in car rental, hospitality, tourism, retail or premium client service is advantageous.
• Well‑presented, reliable and customer‑focused.
• Strong communication and administration abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime as needed.
• Comfortable handling and driving vehicles.
