Camunda BPM Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Camunda BPM Developer to design, implement and maintain workflow solutions for a leading telecom client in Johannesburg. This contract position (12+ months) focuses on BPMN/DMN modeling, Java/Spring Boot development, and integration with modern micro‑service architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model business processes using BPMN and decision tables with DMN.
• Develop and maintain Java and Spring Boot services that drive Camunda workflows.
• Integrate workflows with REST APIs, micro‑services, Kafka, JMS or other messaging systems.
• Ensure proper workflow persistence, transaction handling, and process lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on schedule.
• Deploy and manage workflow components in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and optimise workflow performance.

Required profile

• 6–10+ years of overall software development experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Camunda BPM.
• Strong understanding of workflow persistence, transactions, and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to work in Agile environments.
