SAQ Manager

About the role

Tangent International is seeking an experienced SAQ Manager to lead site acquisition and permitting activities on a 3‑month rolling contract in Johannesburg. You will coordinate supervisors and third‑party partners to secure leases, permits and co‑location approvals within or ahead of SAQ timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Manage supervisors and SBCs to obtain leases and permits within SAQ timeframes.
• Prepare, submit and follow up on co‑location applications, conduct gap analysis and allocate targets.
• Oversee third‑party (colocation) relationships, ensuring site sharing and operator coordination.
• Negotiate lease terms, amendments and permitting requirements with landlords and infrastructure providers.
• Interpret telecom by‑laws and local authority regulations to support site approvals.

Required profile

• Extensive telecom site acquisition experience in the mobile sector.
• Proven track record managing third‑party colocation sites.
• Strong knowledge of lease drafting, permitting processes and network requirements.
• Ability to interpret lease changes and telecom by‑laws.
• Established relationships with TowerCos and MNOs and daily stakeholder engagement skills.
