About the role
The Call Center Collections Agent will contact customers with outstanding balances, negotiate repayment plans and help them avoid further debt. The role combines inbound and outbound calling to achieve debt reduction targets while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively contact customers by telephone and written communication, using a telephone dialler for outbound calls.
- Apply debt collection techniques, negotiate repayment arrangements and collect cash to minimise bad‑debt write‑offs.
- Handle customer and internal queries within agreed SLA’s and maintain accurate records in the system.
- Manage complaints, ensure compliance and continuously develop industry and system knowledge.
Required profile
- Matric qualification.
- 6‑12 months experience in debt collection, preferably with international clients.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English with a neutral accent.
- Strong customer orientation in a multicultural environment and solid administrative follow‑through.
