Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Join Exxaro Resources in Lephalale as a Buyer, responsible for managing procurement activities and ensuring high service delivery standards. You will support business partnerships, enhance sourcing capabilities, and contribute to operational excellence within the mining sector.

Key responsibilities

• Administer end‑to‑end procurement processes, from requisition to purchase order.
• Negotiate tenders and contracts to achieve cost savings while complying with regulatory and company policies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable delivery and quality.
• Monitor and report on procurement performance against savings targets.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance in all purchasing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and company procurement policies.
• Experience working in a mining or industrial environment is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP MM or Coupa.
