Buyer – Packaging Materials

About the role

Reckitt is seeking an experienced Buyer focused on packaging materials to lead factory procurement. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing a portfolio of packaging supplies, directly influencing cost of goods sold, gross margin and working capital.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier selection, contracting and ongoing relationships.
• Lead negotiations for packaging materials in line with global commodity strategies.
• Own material budgeting and deliver against cost assumptions and financial targets.
• Monitor market trends, risks and opportunities, implementing mitigation and contingency plans.
• Drive supplier performance in quality, service and cost through improvement initiatives such as productivity, squeeze and e‑procurement.
• Ensure strong governance, contract management, compliance with operating models and effective use of procurement tools.

Required profile

• BCom or BSc degree.
• Minimum of 3 years’ procurement experience, preferably in packaging materials.
• Proven track record of delivering cost efficiencies and managing supplier relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ariba procurement platform.
• Experience using Anaplan for budgeting and planning.
