About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Buyer to join our Gauteng team on‑site. You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing high‑quality building materials, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining optimal stock levels to support our construction projects.

Key responsibilities

• Source and purchase building materials and hardware.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
• Maintain stock levels and forecast inventory needs.
• Analyse market trends and supplier performance.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely deliveries.

Required profile

• Strong procurement and negotiation abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management, purchasing processes, and supply‑chain operations.
• Analytical and market‑research skills.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Previous experience as a Buyer in the building or hardware sector.
• Relevant diploma, degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or Business Administration is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced use of the Microsoft Office suite.
