Business Support Specialist (JG9)

About the role

Glacier by Sanlam is seeking a Business Support Specialist (JG9) to analyse business needs and translate them into practical solutions that improve operational efficiency and client outcomes. The role partners with stakeholders to design, implement and continuously enhance processes, systems and services aligned with strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver budget plans, supporting optimisation of financial resources.
• Draft and maintain policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with external requirements.
• Review existing operations and implement innovative continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Design and manage administrative processes and data handling to support efficient business operations.
• Oversee multiple document streams using the company‑wide document management system.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance, Information Systems or equivalent; postgraduate degree preferred.
• 3‑5 years experience in Financial Services, preferably with international investment exposure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and IMS administration system.
• Experience supervising teams and managing resources to achieve results within limited timeframes.
• Demonstrated behavioural competencies such as optimising work processes, ensuring accountability and effective communication.
