Business Manager - Witbank Business Centre

About the role

Capitec Bank is looking for an energetic, self-motivated Business Manager for its Witbank Business Centre. The purpose of the role is to run a proactive business banking sales and service function that retains and grows a portfolio of business clients, identifies and implements value-adding financial product solutions from standard and customised offerings, and involves frequent visits to clients at their business premises.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management or Finance; a Bachelor's degree in Business Management or similar is preferred.
• At least 5 years of banking experience, including at least 3 years in business banking, managing a complex portfolio of business customers with a service and financial analysis focus.
• Significant experience preparing and motivating credit applications, cost control and sales management.
• Ideal: 1-2 years of managerial leadership experience and experience managing a small Business Centre.
• Clear criminal and credit record, willingness to work flexible hours including Saturdays and public holidays, willingness to travel nationally regularly, and a valid driver's licence with a own vehicle.

Required skills

• Analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and attention to detail skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
• Communication, interpersonal and relationship management, influencing, negotiation, commercial and strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledge of business economics, CRM principles, local market sales practices, general banking procedures, competitor products, credit principles, legal entities, FAIS and FICA, and ideally financial modelling and multi-level product pricing.
