Business Development Representative (BDR)

About the role

The Business Development Representative (BDR) will drive growth by increasing sales volumes, expanding market share, and strengthening competitiveness within targeted FMCG segments. You will work closely with distributors and retail outlets to ensure product availability, optimal merchandising, and price compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned territories.
• Manage and supervise distributors, overseeing orders, payments, and re‑distribution.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of IB products across customer and retail locations.
• Ensure brand visibility through effective point‑of‑sale displays and chilled equipment placement.
• Monitor product pricing at sales outlets and enforce recommended pricing.
• Track competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. or HND in Social Sciences or a related field.
• At least 2 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry.
• Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of FMCG sales processes.
• Dynamic, sociable, and well‑organized with good teamwork and leadership abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to feedback.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
