Business Development Manager – Technical Recruitment (Remote)

About the role

Join a specialist technical recruitment firm that is expanding its footprint in the United States. Working remotely from South Africa, you will focus on phone‑first outreach to US‑based engineering, manufacturing, automotive and automation companies, building relationships with decision‑makers and generating new recruitment opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Use provided prospect lists to conduct strategic outbound calls to target US companies.
• Identify and engage key decision‑makers such as engineering directors, hiring managers and HR leads.
• Book initial discovery meetings and secure new client agreements.
• Sign service contracts and onboard new job orders into the recruitment system.
• Maintain a pipeline of client opportunities with a focus on quality over volume.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical recruitment or technical sales within engineering, automotive, manufacturing or automation sectors.
• Demonstrated success in outbound, phone‑first business development and client acquisition.
• Excellent verbal communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Highly autonomous, self‑motivated and inquisitive.
